A Message from Logan and VJ

A status update, Phase Five, and advice for some of our international users...

LOGAN

Hey, everyone! Sorry about that outage last week. First, dramatic improvements to the site done in May:

  • We fixed the bug causing media uploads to freeze and not post!
  • Members Nearby will now show all members, not just some of them
  • Classifieds! You can now make location-powered in-search-of ads. Looks like our @brownbelly190 was the first to use the new feature!!
  • Paid advertisement campaigns will now submit like they're supposed to - sometimes it would fail and just refresh
  • We've implemented our new logo and seal!

    Sidebar Menu Changes

    • New icons!
    • Some of the brighter purple-blue colors have been darkened a bit for easy viewing
    • The "Locate an Admin" sidebar option has been revised to "Get Help from an Admin". It now points to a guide that better explains how to reach us - and even has a directory of admins!
    • "Community Cloud" is a special cloud we've set aside just for MxM and its members to have an archive of historical fetish content and educational material to browse. It is a fairly new sidebar option, so I don't blame you if you haven't seen or clicked it yet. You can choose to explore that Cloud, or contribute to it through the Dropbox!

      Improvements for our New Arrivals

      • An interactive birthday picker was added to registration for the new people; no more entering your DOB in two different places!
      • The ability to enter your bio was added to registration
      • The ability to upload your avatar was added to registration (it previously only allowed you to do this afterregistering)

Now, without further ado... Welcome to Phase Five of the MxM site! It's been a long time coming.

What is "Phase Five"? It's an action-heavy march (hehe...) toward becoming the modern male fetish community to be a part of by the time v5.0 is released.

Back in January, I shared a really long post discussing our huge milestone of obtaining a business license - and our making heavy steps toward going legit. I deleted that post recently. It just... felt like I was maybe doing too much, lol. The promises were good, and we're making real progress on those, but I want to get us in the habit of talking about it less, and focusing more on delivering results.

Anyway... in the spirit of progress, I present our first-ever dashboard!

  • I'm FINALLY planning our FIRST official event! I'm hoping for it to be a small-scale September 2021 play party in Nashville, Tennessee - look for the event to show up on the site later! This would be a smaller, more personable event where we just hang out and enjoy each other's fetishes in a very cool kink space! Next year, I'm hoping we'll be ready to start showing up at kink festivals like Folsom, IML, CLAW, etc.

  • We've had some innovative merch ideas (not kidding, merch is going great), and we're fleshing those ideas out in real life.. testing them out. Before you know it, we'll have a physical store!

  • You'll hear more about The Monetization Program and The Affiliate Program soon, assuming all goes well with planning. We're getting really close to facilitating this functionality, and we're testing it in the background.

  • New and Exclusive Site Features is perhaps the most important thing on this dashboard. We're making progress, and were lucky enough to find a kink-friendly site developer willing to help us bring those unique features to you! Our ambitious future depends on it being worth you supporting us in the first place.

And now, VJ!

VJ

First and foremost, thank you!!

I am extremely delighted to see the numbers of new members rolling in every single day as we continue to strive in bringing together our kink community. It warms me to the core to see everyone participating, engaging, and sharing their experiences.

To that point, we have noticed membership sign ups from countries in which we know our content is against local and state laws / statutes.

We LOVE having you a part of this community. Please don't risk your safety or standing as a real life citizen to participate or view our content. We have created a safe space for you, but ask that you take some steps to protecting yourself if you are in one of these said regions:

From a technical perspective:

  • Use a VPN.
  • Use a Proxy.
  • Use both of these with a privacy-focused browser.

If you are interested in any of the above mentioned methods, I have some recommendations I could share on a future post. Please feel free to contact me and I will put together a future AMFLAV with references!

And from the interactions with the site:

  1. Don't feel pressured to reveal your true identity to anyone, including the Admin team.
  2. Report suspicious characters to us, we can investigate for you, especially if they might be State Actors.
  3. Use physical methods or digital software to blur out distinguishing characteristics of your environment before posting.

In my next AMFLAV, I will be addressing some latest developments with our technology that has made us not only more secure, but also efficient in delivering content to you. Check back with me next time and play on!

Thanks for reading,

From Logan and VJ
