I sort of incidentally met a fellow gay macrophile on the Internet through a completely unrelated community, and I casually mentioned coiledfist and he had never heard of it. 😱 He had only ever ventured onto deviantart I guess.

I kind of have bad memories of CF. Hadn't been there in about 10 years. I had some not-so-great experiences and I just deleted all the info in my bio and left.

But this post made me check it out again. I gotta say it brought back GOOD memories instead. Really interesting to see how it's changed but also (like Craigs List) stayed exactly the same. Made me nostalgic for the time when the Internet was more democratized rather than everything being funneled through Facebook/Twitter/Amazon/etc. And communities/websites were places you genuinely had to seek out. MxM kind of reminds me of that too.

Also it was shocking (and affirming) to see that people liked and commented on stories I wrote over a decade ago as recently as 2019!
